👋 Hi, I'm

11 years old, 6th grade

I'm 11 and in 6th grade. In my free time I like making apps and figuring out how to fix stuff that bugs me. Most of what I build I never even finish, but one of them actually made it onto the App Store, and that's DayForge.

The problem

My family kept forgetting stuff.

Permission slips signed on the morning they were due. My mom texting "did you pack your water bottle?" like every other day. Nobody wrote reminders in the same place — it was a sticky note here, a text there, or just hoping someone remembered.

It wasn't a huge deal, but it kept happening. So I figured I'd try to build something for it.

milk, eggs, and my will to remember things

"It's such a small problem. There has to be a simple way to fix it."

How I built it

So I just started building.

I worked on it on weekends and whenever I had free time between homework. A lot of what I made didn't work or I just scrapped it and started over. A few versions I deleted after like a week.

The idea I kept coming back to was simple: one app where the whole family could see the same reminders, and it actually felt fun to open instead of feeling like another chore list.

$ expo start
✓ reminders synced
✓ notifications set up
// fixed 40 bugs, made 6 new ones
$ git commit -m "final v2 REAL final"

eventually, it worked. mostly.

DayForge

An app for family reminders and checklists that kids actually want to open. Parents can see what's going on without asking, and nothing gets forgotten in a group chat again.

✅

Real checklists

Not just a reminder that says "pack for practice" — an actual list, so you don't forget the shin guards.

🔥

Streaks

Keeping a streak going and collecting diamonds makes finishing your list feel worth doing.

📬

Weekly email

Parents get one email that sums up the week instead of having to check in every day.

Live on the App Store

zero bugs, according to my testing — my mom's phone may disagree

Made so nobody forgets the small stuff anymore.
